Concorde Video - Bristol's supersonic triumph

Documents the history of Concorde, from design to reality with interviews with all the major players from both sides of the channel, including Trubshaw et al, this video includes some superb footage of Concorde's development and proving, as well as some historic interviews with all the movers and shakers involved in the Anglo-French project in the 1960s. The updated version also includes footage and a report of Concorde's 30th anniversary flight home to Filton, when thousands turned up to wave at the 'Queen of the Skies' as she returned to the place of her birth in April 1999.

Concorde video: The People's Aircraft

This wonderful DVD production is the latest release from 1st-Take Video, and is the discerning account of the Concorde project, from design to passenger service, and includes Outside Broadcasts at the G-BOAA trip by barge along the Thames to East Lothian, plus the presentation of the 20,000 strong petition to No 10 Downing Street in October 2004 by Ross Mallett of the Save Concorde Group. The video also includes interviews, some previously-unseen footage and some rare archive footage, plus footage of G-BOAF landing at Filton for the last time and also at it's present location at Filton as a static exhibit.

The highlight for me was the interviews with Dr Peter Calder, former project Director at Rolls Royce. A must!
