Concorde Alpha-Delta, G-BOAD moves to temporary home (3/1/07)

Concorde G-BOAD, part of the 'Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum' which is housed on the West Side Highway in Manhattan, New York, has moved to a new temporary home for the best part of the next two years.

The move is necessary because the main exhibit of the museum - Aircraft Carrier USS Intrepid - has itself been moved to Bayonne, NJ for a complete refurbishment and refit.

Most of the other exhibits will remain, however G-BOAD has been moved for safe keeping to its temporary home in the nearby borough of Brooklyn at the Aviator Sports & Recreation facility's Floyd Bennett Field. The other main exhibit is the Submarine 'Growler' which will remain docked at the Museum.
